The Holy Spirit In The Third Millennium

This work deals with issues surrounding the manifestation of the Spirit in prayer from theological and practical points of view. The treatment is orthodox, yet it is charismatic in tone and practical in presentation. It is a culmination of thirty years of study and experience received from conducting seminars spanning denominational lines. It has broad appeal to charismatic, Pentecostal, and Para church groups, yet it has reached into evangelical, mainline, Catholic Pentecostal, and ecumenical groups because of its reasoned theological and biblical content.

This book deals with theological issues and answers questions that some have been afraid to ask. The author presents a thorough analysis of the Spirit's manifestation with personal examples. The subject is presented in a fresh manner that the modern churchman can receive. For some it may seem too practical, but it has proven itself to be correct approach, as thousands have received the Holy Spirit and His presence has been manifested in our meetings. People have come to Christ and been healed by this message. Simply put, it works.

God Was At Midway

The battle of Midway was the greatest Naval battle ever fought, and against overwhelming odds, turned the tide of the Pacific war. Three enemy aircraft carriers were bombed into blazing infernos in six minutes, burning and drowning 1,800 Japanese sailors. A fourth Japanese carrier sank with a loss of 700 men. The USS Yorktown with 2,500 men aboard had received three bomb hits and two torpedoes when Captain Elliott Buck master commanded, "Abandon ship." Eighty-six men died with the Yorktown, and another 2,000 sailors went down the lines into the murky, oily waters of the Pacific. Now the untold story of faith and prayer is written in this book.

Captain Linzey conducted bible studies in the ship, he was a young petty officer at that time, degreed only in the Lord. In answer to the prayers of those men and loved-ones, many accepted Christ. Miraculous rescues from bomb bursts and fragmented steel came about as navy destroyers pulled blue jackets from the sea. Barefoot men clad only in their underwear knelt on the steel deck of a destroyer and offered thanks to Almighty God for His mercy and salvation. This is a true life story of God's presence in battle.
